Kid's Art Contest 2024
Your drawing could be featured on a hybrid bus!
Who: Kids 12 and under in Whatcom County
When: Saturday, August 3rd
Where: Two locations!
- Bellingham Kids Fest - Civic Field - 11:00 - 3:00
- Ferndale Block Party - Downtown Ferndale - 12:00 - 3:00
Prize: Select winners will have their art featured on one of two Hybrid buses and will be invited to get pictures with their artwork.
Theme: I love nature! (think animals, bugs, flowers, plants, and trees)

Contest Details
- The contest is for kids 12 and under who live in Whatcom County.
- All art must be created at the event and submitted aboard the bus.
- Each participant may submit only one work of art.
- Markers and paper will be provided. All participants must use the provided materials.
- Each participant will have at least 15 minutes to create their submission. Depending on the number of participants, time may be limited to 15 minutes.
- Parents or guardians must write the participant’s first and last name, age, and a contact email clearly on the back of their submission.
- A panel of judges will choose the winning submissions. Judges will not know the artists’ identities.
- Winners will be announced by the end of August. Buses featuring the winning artwork will enter service in September.
