Snow & WTA: What You Need to Know
Winter weather can impact bus service, and we want to help you stay informed and prepared. Here is what you need to know when snow and ice affect WTA service:
Fixed Route Service on Snow Days
Buses may be delayed or detoured when road conditions become hazardous. Track your bus in real-time with WTA BusTracker on your phone or computer, or call us at (360) 676-7433.
Some routes may switch to a Snow Detour if snow is on the roads. We will announce which routes are affected—check ridewta.com/snow-days, BusTracker, and our service bulletins for updates. See Snow Detour maps in advance to plan your trip.
Paratransit Service on Snow Days
WTA may limit or cancel paratransit service if road conditions become unsafe. If this happens, we will call you and work with you to reschedule your ride for a safer time.
If your trip is not essential, consider rescheduling to avoid delays and to help us prioritize essential rides.
